UNION Services for Lois Monroe Carleton will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dr. Marcus Finch and Tom Samson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carleton, 94, of Union, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Harold G. Carleton and Robert Wayne Carleton, both of Union, and Dr. Reese Monroe Carleton of Greenwood, S.C.; a sister, Etta James of Newton; a brother, Dan Monroe of Taylorsville; eight grandchildren, Laurie Abraham, Claire Stewart, Sue Ellen Smith, Joan Hollis, Graham Carleton, Amy Williams, Lee Anne Walsh and Robert Carleton III; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Carleton Sr.
The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church or Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Mildred Louise McMullen will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Jack Giles and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be in Enondale Cemetery.
Mrs. McMullan, 76, of Bailey, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in her home.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
GORDON ELLIS
Retired from Atlas Roofing
A private graveside memorial service for Gordon Ellis will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. James Twiner officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gordon Ellis, 81, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in his home. He retired from sales and marketing for Atlas Roofing and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jean W. Ellis of Meridian; three daughters, Cindy E. Lang and her husband, Irby, Nancy E. McElroy and Deborah E. Haggard and her husband, David, all of Meridian; a son, Charlie Ellis of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sisters, Mary Jane Ellis of Vermont and Nancy Cooke of Gloster, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Hospital.
