Alpha Dees Brooks, 82, went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Winston County and was retired from Golden Manufacturing.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. John Oliver and Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Burial was in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are two children, Debra Brooks and husband, Hewert, and Larry Brooks and wife, Wanda, all of Red Bay; one brother, Bill Dees, Red Bay; two sisters, Bertha Faulkner and Trubia Robinson, both of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Brooks and a son, Eddie Brooks.

Pallbearers were J.T. Ables, Lane Brooks, Michael Brooks, Joshua Scott, Artis Burks, Brett Gillentine, Eddie Dees and Wayne Brooks. Honorary pallbearer was Billy Brooks.
