PC volleyball wins 6 of 7
The Phil Cambpell volleyball team got off to a strong start, finishing the first week of the season 6-1.
The Bobcats swept a home tri match on Thursday beating Phillips 25-10 and 25-11, and Shoals Christian 25-17 and 25-21.
On Saturday, Phil Campbell turned in another strong performance finishing runnerup in the Colbert Heights Invitational.
The Bobcats went undefeated in pool play beating Red Bay 26-24 and 25-18; Hamilton 25-19, 15-25, and 15-13; and Tharptown 25-21 and 25-18.
Phil Campbell beat Falkville in championship play 24-26, 25-23 and 16-14 before falling to Colbert Heights in the finals 17-25 and 20-25.
Belgreen
Belgreen dropped two games in a tri match with Addison and Hatton on Thursday.
Against Addison, Belgreen lost in two sets 22-25 and 8-25. Randi Terry had 14 attacks, 6 kills, 7 digs. Madison McKee had 8 attacks, 1 kill and 4 digs. Kiera Smith had 1 attack and 8 digs.
Against Hatton, Belgreen lost in three sets15-25,30-28,and12-15. Lilliana Willingham had 14 attacks and 3 kills. Smith had 5 attacks and 14 digs. Kirby Schucker had 10 attacks and 3 kills. Lily Green had 13 attacks and 6 kills; and Terry had 20 attacks and 7 kills.
