SALUTE TO VETERANS

Members of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion saluted, listened to “Taps” and laid flowers ahead of the annual parade on Saturday. The ceremony took place at the courthouse memorial for Franklin County veterans who have died in service to their country. An hour later, veterans walked and rode in a variety of methods of transport as the parade made its way from the A.W. Todd Centre and wound through downtown. Spectators lined the streets and watched as the veterans rode by. The Russellville Marching Hundred led the parade.

Mousey Brown, Marlena Young-Jones, Kenlyn Gunn and Melvin Young attended the annual Veterans Day Parade in Russellville.
