Phil Campbell’s Diamond Youth baseball wraps season

Formerly known as Dixie Youth Baseball, now known as Diamond Youth Baseball, the Phil Campbell teams have seen an active season. Players range from twelve years old and under (12U), ten years old and younger (10U), eight years old and under (8U) and six years old and younger (6U). Players must come from within a defined boundary for Phil Campbell.

“We are always proud we can provide an environment that’s fun and allows the kids to learn the skills required to play their sport,” explained DYB coach Brad Champion. “We play local teams including Hackleburg, Russellville, Red Bay, Vina and Bear Creek. The district tournaments were held in Fayette, Moulton and Town Creek.” Champion said 12U, scheduled to finish district tournament play June 11, is the last of the local DYB teams to finish district tournament play.
