Red Bay, Belgreen earn top seeds in Franklin County tournament

The Red Bay varsity boys and Belgreen varsity girls earned top seeds in the 2024 Franklin County tournament. The annual tournament will be hosted by Phil Campbell High School beginning Jan. 9 and will conclude with the finals Jan. 13.

Red Bay’s boys come into the tournament playing basketball with a record of 12-4 and look to be a contender in Class 2A.  Belgreen’s girls are playing equally as well with a record of 15-4 and could make some noise in Class 1A in February.

Along with the varsity boys and varsity girls divisions, there will be three other divisions competing in the tournament: A-Junior Boys, Junior Varsity Girls and Junior Varsity Boys. The complete schedule is listed below. Admission to the tournament will be $8 each day.
