Artense Hester

Artense Hester, 97, of Vina, passed away Oct. 26 at Daniel Healthcare in Fulton, Miss. She was born in Belgreen to Walter and Maggie Porter Entrekin. She was a seamstress for more than 30 years and was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church in Red Bay.

Services will be Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Billy Nichols and Jeff Holt officiating. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery in Vina.

She is survived by three daughters – Norma Ann Watkins, Patsy Liles and Jean Holt; six grandchildren – Liesia Mann (James), Michele Shirley, Tracie Holt, Jason Pendegraph (Amy), Jeff Holt (Blair) and Amy Cleveland; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and two brothers – Walter Entrekin, Jr. and Billy Wayne Entrekin (Donna).

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lonnie Hester, her parents and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Jason Pendegraph, Jeff Holt, Brandon Pruitt, Tyler Pendegraph, Sebastian Pendegraph, Maddox Pendegraph, William Russell and Bentley Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Codey Cleveland, Harley Cupples, Waylon Pruitt and Gary Liles.

Visitation will be held Oct. 29 from 12-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay.
