Letter to the Editor: Let your commissioner know you object to landfill expansion

Dear friends of Franklin County,

Aren’t you proud that our county was named for Ben Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America? You see him on a $100 bill.

Did you know that he was also a scientist, civic leader, inventor, diplomat and top political thinker?

As a newspaper editor, he knew the importance of freedom of the press and expressing your opinion.

Won’t you take a moment of your day and let the FC Commissioners know your objections to Franklin County becoming a tri-state dump?

If you want to write, here is the address:

Franklin County Commission

P.O. Box 1028

Russellville, AL 35653

Here are the numbers to call:

  • District 1 – Chris Wallace, 256-810-9401
  • District 2 – Jason Miller, 256-627-2714
  • District 3 – Joseph Baldwin, 256-668-5999
  • District 4 – David Hester, 256-810-9974
  • Chairman – Barry Moore, 256-324-2420

Let’s get the whole family involved in saving our county! We are fighting for their future.

Together we can Save Franklin County!

Sincerely,

Paula Hovater
