Red Devil girls get pair of wins

The Vina Red Devils picked up a pair of wins this past week, beating Sheffield 65-55 and Phillips 54-30.

In the Sheffield game, Sara Scott scored 29 points to lead the Red Devils past the Bulldogs.

Vina led 14-9 at the end of the first quarter and 28-22 at halftime. Vina led the Bulldogs 46-30 at the end of the third.

Sara Harper followed Scott with 15 points. Kaley Attaway and Abbie Petree scored six points each. Hailey Cantrell finished with four points, Autumn Chandler three points and K.K. Mitchell two points.

In the Phillips game, Kaitlyn Athey led Vina with 19 points, followed by Sara Scott with 14 points. Attaway added eight points, Harper six points, Petree four points, Mitchell two points and Cantrell one point.
