Representative donates $5K to THS

State Rep. Proncey Robertson delivered a much-needed surprise to Tharptown High School and the Tharptown High School Band on homecoming night. Robertson presented Tharptown Principal Ann Scott a community development grant check for $5,000.

“I hope Mrs. Scott and Tharptown High School can use these funds in the best way possible to improve the education and marching band program at the school,” said Robertson. “The Tharptown band has come a long way, and hopefully a portion of these funds can help them continue to grow and improve.”

Scott said she was very appreciative of Robertson’s efforts.

“We are glad to have Mr. Robertson’s help,” said Scott. “We appreciate his support of Tharptown High School and our community. These funds will be very beneficial to our school and our band.”
