Extension announces contest winners

The Franklin County Extension Office held its annual Watermelon Festival contests this year, including the Coloring Contest, Photo Contest and Sweet Tea Contest. The winners are as follows:

Coloring Contest, Kindergarten through First Grade:

  • 1st Place – Melanie Promotor
  • 2nd Place – Kaylee Adams
  • 3rd Place – Thomas Grissom and Braylee Holt
  • Honorable Mentions – Elizabeth Yancy, Addison Daracott, Brooklyn, Carmen Sander, Auburn Casas, Mauricio Gonzalez, Emily, Caroline McDonnell, Mackenxy, Marisol Vela and Maddie King

Coloring Contest, Second and Third Grade:

  • 1st Place – Katherine
  • 2nd Place – Lillie Hill
  • 3rd Place – Charley Hogan and Saxton
  • Honorable Mentions – Adrian, Kiera Smith, Johanna Tyler, Heith Beard, Lydia Groce and Ignacio

Photography Contest, Babies:

  • 1st Place – Sherry Hubbard
  • 2nd Place – Vette Elliott

Photography Contest, Toddlers:

  • 1st Place – Erin Robinson
  • 2nd Place – Vette Elliott
  • 3rd Place – Andrew Kastberg
