Iva Lou Raper Dixon

Iva Lou Raper Dixon, 83, of Decatur, formerly of Phil Campbell, passed away Aug. 7 at her residence.

Visitation will be Aug. 9 from 10-11 a.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Taylor officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Franklin Memory Gardens.

Iva Lou was born March 23, 1935, in Phil Campbell, to W.T. and Annie Raper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, T.J. Dixon; her siblings, R.B. Raper, Eva Venuti, Arnold Lee Raper and L.D. Raper; and her grandson, Chris Motuelle.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her two sons, Walter Motuelle (Pam) and Dale Motuelle (Debra); her sisters, Ruthie Spencer, Mae Honey and Sue Swinney; her grandchildren, Heather Motuelle, Jesse Motuelle (Emily), Matt Henderson, Lydia Henderson and Adam Henderson; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jesse, Matt, Adam and Dennis.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
