TES recognizes readers
Fifteen Tharptown Elementary School students received recognition for their completion of the Fast Forward Program through Coordinated Early Intervention Services.
According to librarian Laura Stockton, the school held a ceremony May 23 to recognize and congratulate the second- and third-graders for their completion of the program.
“They’ve worked hard and made great strides,” Stockton said.
In the Fast Forward Program, the students used educational computer games based on their level of reading to increase their reading skills. Stockton said the program is just one way TES strives to promote student literacy.
