Volunteers tackle Highway 187

April 28, members of the Franklin County Water Service Authority and other volunteers made a joint effort with the help of the Keep the Shoals Beautiful Organization to clean up a stretch of road in Franklin County.

After meeting up at the water tower on County Road 16, the volunteers set out to pick up trash and recyclables on Highway 187, which runs in front of Belgreen High School.

Food was provided that day for volunteers by Frosty Inn.

Volunteers were Michael Hughes, Sam Lynch, Joe Mansell, Steven Swinney, Beverley Scott, Brooks Scott, Deb Aaron, Jacob Green, Roger Bedford, Alan Rhudy, Doug Aaron, Gary Hester and Ben Stancil.
