5K benefits Autism Society

It was a dreary Saturday morning, but that didn’t stop the 40 people who showed up to support the Autism Awareness 5K Funky Fun Run/Walk April 7.

A total $1,000 was raised to help support the Autism Society of Alabama, according to organizer Jessica Hamilton.

Nery Andre’s team was the Highest Fundraiser Winning Team with a total of $670.

Jake Miller placed first in the race, followed by Lora Childers in second and Kasey Cook in third.
