Phil Campbell girls finish undefeated

Abby Davis dropped 30 points on the Lamar County Bulldogs to cap off an undefeated season in area play for the Phil Campbell Bobcats. Phil Campbell outscored Lamar County in the first three quarters to win 73-53.
Phil Campbell jumped on Lamar County out of the gate, leading 23-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats extended their lead over the Bulldogs to 41-24 at halftime. Phil Campbell led 59-34 at the end of the third quarter, cruising to the win.
Kallie Allen followed Davis, scoring 16 points. Chloe Roberson added 10 points. Dakota Elliott finished the game with eight points, Caitlyn Mills with three points, Carley Nix with two points and Katie Thomas with two points.
The Phil Campbell Bobcats also ran away from the Hamilton Aggies last week 63-37.
The Bobcats established control of the game early on, outscoring Hamilton 22-3 in the first quarter. The Aggies cut into the Bobcats’ lead slightly in the second quarter, outscoring Phil Campbell 19-13 to make the score 35-22 at halftime.
Phil Campbell regained the advantage in the third quarter, taking a 49-33 lead into the final period of play.
Davis led the Bobcats with 14 points. Dakota Elliot followed with nine points. Roberson and Allen added eight points each. Mills finished with seven points. Darby Elliott, Nix and Megan Bullock finished the game with six points each. Kaci Harris contributed five points to win.
