Weather changes tourney schedule

Winter weather Tuesday has forced schedule changes for the Franklin County Basketball Tournament.

Instead of beginning Tuesday evening, the tournament will now begin Friday evening. The finals are tentatively scheduled for Monday night instead of Saturday night – dependent on teams being able to reschedule games already scheduled for Monday night.

New schedule for the Franklin County Tournament:

Jan. 19

5 p.m. – Tharptown vs. Red Bay (Varsity Girls)

6:30 p.m. – Vina vs. Phil Campbell (Varsity Boys)

Jan. 20

Noon – Red Bay vs. Phil Campbell (B-Varsity Boys)

1:30 p.m. – Belgreen vs. Tharptown (B-Varsity Boys)

3 p.m. – Phil Campbell vs. Tharptown/Red Bay winner (Varsity Girls)

4:30 p.m.  – Red Bay vs. Tharptown (Varsity Boys)

6 p.m. – Vina vs. Belgreen (Varsity Girls)

7:30 p.m. – Belgreen vs. Vina/Phil Campbell winner (Varsity Boys)

Jan. 22

5 p.m. – B-Varsity Boys Finals

6:30 p.m. – Varsity Girls Finals

8 p.m. – Varsity Boys Finals
