Dorothy Marie Green

Dorothy Marie Green, 84, of Russellville, passed from this life Dec. 4.

Visitation will be Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. The family will be receiving friends Dec. 7 from 1-2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Akins Funeral Home with the Rev. Clint Busler and the Rev. Bo Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Tharptown Cemetery.

Marie was born Sept. 9, 1933, to Claude E. Murray and Leila Stout Murray.

Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Johnny Eugene and Claude Hubert Murray; her husband of 40 years, Nathan A. Green Jr.; a granddaughter, Marissa Lei Nichols; and a second husband of 2.5 years, Boyd R. Corbin.

She leaves behind one sister, Kathleen Woodruff Taylor of  Henderson, Nev.; four children, Darryl Green (Carolyn), Douglas Green (Betsy), Jennie Nichols (Mike) and Judy Stephenson (Robert); eight grandchildren, Darryl Green Jr. (Felicia), Kristopher Green (Diana), Daniel Green (Kate), Kelly Holland (Greg), April White (Mark), Maranda Harper, Nikki Hartman (Scott) and Andi Sigsby (Ryan); and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hagen, Zane, Zeb, Madelyn, Ella Grace, Olivia, Leif, Arlo, Cora, Evalee Gwen and Emilia Rose, along with several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and our special angel caregivers, Sherry, Shelby, Kay and Shirley.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
