Billy Glenn Hill

Billy Glenn Hill, 81, passed away Nov. 28. He was born June 30, 1936, in Russellville to the late Grover and Lizzie Fisher Hill.

Billy served his country in the United States Air Force. After active military duty, he worked for Entex (Houston Natural Gas) and retired after 30 years of service. He enjoyed ranching, hunting and being outdoors. Billy was also an engaging storyteller, and he sometimes left you wondering if he might have stretched the truth just a bit. He was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Janice Helen Huber Hill of Victoria; daughter, Beverly Robinson (James) of Victoria; son, Bradly Hill (Cynthia) of Corpus Christi; sister, Betty Jo Sparks (Oneal) of Russellville; grandchildren, Laurie Beck of Victoria, John William Beck III (Kaitlyn) of Houston, Katy Lynne Pesek (Colton) of Katy and Josh Robinson and Kylee Robinson, both of Victoria; and great-grandchildren, Jack Yoast and Molly Yoast. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Glen Hill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 30 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Graveside services with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 1 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John William Beck III, Josh Robinson, David Huber, Jason Huber, Tommy Webb and David Guillot.
