Vina wins holiday tournament

The Vina Lady Red Devils posted some big wins at their own holiday tournament over the weekend.

In the team’s 67-47 Whitesburg Christian victory, Abby Hester and Kaitlyn King scored 17 points each. Sara Johnson, Rayleigh Guin and Emma Humphres each scored eight points.

In a 69-50 victory over Sheffield, Hester (18), King (16), Humphres (14) and Guin (10) all scored for Vina.

In a 60-50 victory over Winston County, Hester scored 26 points, and Kaitlyn King had 14 points.

The Red Devils also posted wins over Fayette County (68-46), Paint Rock Valley (69-24) and Waterloo (80-32).
