Sandra (Sandy) Denise Bradford Turner

Sandra (Sandy) Denise Bradford Turner, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Madison Oct. 7. She fought her cancer battle with grace and dignity and will be forever in our hearts.
Sandy was born Dec. 4, 1957, to Dolphus Dan Bradford and Ruby Murray Bradford. Sandy had an infectious smile and blue eyes that will never be forgotten. She was a kind, spirited, fun-loving, never-a-dull-moment kind of gal. She was always on the go. No matter what stood in her way, “Let’s Rock and Roll,” she would always say.

She dedicated her life to her daughters, Misty and Mandy. Her grandchildren Sailor and Cannon were the loves of her life.

Sandy graduated from Calhoun College with a nursing degree and dedicated her life to caring for others. Sandy spent the last seven years as a travel nurse doing what she loved and enjoying life to the fullest.

Sandy is survived by those who love her and will miss her forever; her mother Ruby Murray Bradford; daughters Misty Turner and Mandy Turner Burrell and husband Tim; grandchildren Sailor and Cannon; sisters Linda Smith and husband Horace and Annette Davidson; brothers Adolphus Bradford and Orval Seay and wife Sandra; and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with her special friend, Betty Gail Sockwell.  She was preceded in death by her father, Dolphus Dan Bradford.

Memorial service will be held Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home, 8521 Highway 72 West, Madison.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you consider a donation to the Sandy Turner Memorial Fund at GoFundMe.com.
