Shelby Gene O’Neal
Shelby Gene O’Neal, 80, of Russellville, passed away Aug. 28 at the Cottage of the Shoals.
Visitation will be Aug. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be Aug. 30 at 1 p.m. in Akins Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Dan Darcott and Bro. James McCoo officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
Mr. O’Neal was born March 25, 1937, in Franklin County, to William Thomas O’Neal and Annie Prince O’Neal. He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter, his sisters Joyce O’Neal, Dorothy O’Neal James, Majorie Allen and Faye Tubbs and brothers Roy Ford O’Neal and Jimmy O’Neal.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy Moore and husband Kennith); two sons: Donny O’Neal and wife Suzann and Ronnie O’Neal and wife Shannon; one sister, Joann O’Neal Allison; five grandchildren, Matthew O’Neal, Cassidy O’Neal, Libby O’Neal, Luke O’Neal and Kaitlyn O’Neal; and one great-grandchild, Brayden O’Neal.
Pallbearers will be Harold O’Neal, James Tubbs, David McKinney, Luke O’Neal, Jimmy McKinney and Denver O’Neal.
