Curtis Olen Turner
Curtis Olen Turner, 86, of Russellville, passed away July 21 at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Marion County, he had lived in Russellville for the past 45 years. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and was of the Methodist faith. Having retired from his own auto body repair business, he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Visitation for Mr. Turner will be July 28 from 5-8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be July 29 at 11 a.m. Burial with Masonic rites will follow at Winston Memorial Gardens in Haleyville.
Mr. Turner is survived by five children and their spouses: Sonya Alfonso and husband Rafael, Phillip Turner and wife Julie, Keith Turner and wife Deona, Alicia Roper and husband Allen and Chris Turner and wife Terri; grandchildren: Cristina A. Lancelot and husband Mike, Laura Alfonso, Marina and Delaney Turner, Jake Turner and Eli Turner, Matt Cooper, Shawn Roper and wife Morgan, Rachael Roper and husband Anthony and Carlee and Cameron Armstrong. Surviving siblings include Louise Dolan, Richard Turner and Sue Larsen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Smith Turner; his parents, John B. and Charity McCormick Turner; and brothers, Orbie, John, Roland and Wayne Turner.
The family wishes to thank all the loving and caring staff at Floyd E “Tut” Fann Veterans Home and the doctors and staff at Huntsville Hospital.
