Shirley Jean Arrington Bray

Shirley Jean Arrington Bray, 79, Florence, passed away July 5 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home.

The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. July 8 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. July 9 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Shoals Memory Gardens in Tuscumbia.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Wade Bray; parents, Carlie Pete and Bessie Mae (Davenport) Arrington; and siblings, Carline Landers, Robert Arrington, Leon Arrington, Woody Arrington and Ludie Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Roda Bray Matthews; grandchildren, Josh Meyers and wife Skylar and Kiya Meyers Stacy and husband Wesley; great-grandchildren, Jason Meyers, Ginny Stacy, Phoenix Saunders and Jesse Meyers; siblings, Sylvia Walker, Clifford Arrington and wife Bea, Pat Reedy, Rita Crews and husband Jimmy and Roger Arrington and wife Gail; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Justin Boyles, Tony Landers and Randy Arrington.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Mitchell Hollingsworth and Hospice of North Alabama for their love and care.
