Ronnie Pete Booker

Ronnie Pete Booker, age 72, of Red Bay, passed away July 4 at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mr. Booker was born Nov. 19, 1944, in Tishomingo, Miss. He taught 5th grade math and social studies at Red Bay Elementary School from 1968-1995. He loved technology, computers and cameras. He was an animal lover, especially loving his cats.

The visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon July 7 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville. The service will follow at noon in the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Itawamba County, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley R. Gentry; parents, Lawrence Pete and Edna Booker; two brothers, L.C. Booker and wife Elsa and Bobby Booker; and niece, Doris Matthews.

He leaves to cherish his memory his step-grandchildren, Mary Ann Farmer and Shirley Smith; sister-in-law, Jean Booker; nieces, Barbra Woods and Carolyn Orr; nephew, John Booker, several great-nieces and nephews; special aunt by marriage, Christine Graham, and her children, Hershel Dale Graham, Glen Graham and Gary Wayne Graham.

The pallbearers will be Hershel Dale Graham, Glen Graham and Gary Wayne Graham.
