Truman Broadway

Truman Broadway, age 69, of Russellville, passed away June 8 at his residence.

The visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. June 10 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral was at 2 p.m. June 11 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Ricky Gardner officiating.  Burial was at Jonesboro Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Flora (Welch) Broadway; sisters, Lilly Keplinger, Sue Taylor and Annette Broadway; and brother, Troy Broadway.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years, Barbara Black Broadway; children, DeWayne Broadway and wife Sonya, Dwight Broadway and wife Angie, Susan Fugate and husband Ricky and Darlene Broadway and fiancé Daniel Wallace; grandchildren, Jessie and George Hammack, Josie and Matthew Mitchell, Savannah and Wesley May, Brandon Cothrum, Chase and Darla Green, Mason Broadway and William Shafer; great-grandchildren, Saydie Grace Mitchell, Serrie Faith Mitchell, Brantley DeWayne Cothrum and Gunner Thomas May; sisters, Ida McClemore and Fay Black; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were Brandon Cothrum, Chase Green, William Shafer, Mason Broadway, Dwight Broadway and Tim Spain. The honorary pallbearers were Josh Garrett, Daniel Wallace and Manny Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many doctors and nurses involved in Truman’s healthcare, the nurses and staff of Keller Hospice and to all the friends and family for your help, visits and prayers.
