Patsy Baxter

Patsy Baxter, 82, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away June 8.

Patsy was born and grew up in Russellville. After graduation from Birmingham-Southern College, she married Bill, and they spent the next 21 years serving with the United States Air Force. Patsy taught in all levels of the school system for more than 30 years. Our enduring memory will be of her devotion and unconditional love for family, her loyalty to friends and her tireless support of church and community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Olive Pace; her brother, Ray Pace; and husband, Bill Baxter.

Survivors include three sons, Chris and wife Magie, Rick and wife Barb and Jerry; three grandchildren, Ashley, Wiley and Sarah; sister-in-law, Mary Pace; nephew, Dan Pace and wife Chi Chi and grandniece, Ashley and husband Nav Pace-Pall.

A private family service will be held June 16 at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., June 16 at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Frank Beall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Foundation, PEO STAR Scholarship Fund, donations.peointernational.org, or to a charity of choice.
