Ronald Oneal Nichols

Ronald Oneal Nichols, 61, passed away May 10 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Franklin County and was a millwright supervisor for ten years.

Services were held May 13 at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Johnny Hancock officiating. Burial was in Old Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hodges.

Survivors are his wife – Gayra Hutcheson Nichols, Golden, Miss.; two children – Audra Borden and husband Jamie, Iuka, Miss., and Judston Nichols, Belmont, Miss.; two grandchildren – Ryder McCarley and Rylee McCarley; four siblings – Dennis Lee Nichols and wife Kay of Russellville, Charlotte Herring and husband Billy of Spruce Pine, Mike Nichols and wife Sondra of Tharptown and Terri Aycock and husband Johnny of Spring Valley; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Oneal Nichols and Virginia Dale Nichols.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Hutcheson Jr., Carl Hutcheson, Alan Hutcheson, Darrel Hutcheson, Max Ray Hutcheson and Jason Cutshall. Honorary pallbearer was Phil Storment.

Visitation was held May 12 from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
