Richard Thomas “Rick” Moody

Richard Thomas “Rick” Moody, 53, passed away March 15 in Saltillo, Miss. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and was a carpenter, craftsman and artist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services were held March 19 at 3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Rick Bradley officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.
Survivors are six children, Bradley Moody and wife Shellie, Laura Moody, Leah Moody, Lindsey Moody, Kara Moody and Chad Moody; two grandchildren, Katie and Benjamin; four sisters, Marilyn Averkamp and husband Lonnie, Carol Moody, Melissa Clements and husband John and Mary Rockwell and husband Chris; two brothers, Robert Moody and wife Etta Rae and Ralph Moody and wife Liz; his companion, Carol Guernsey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Carl Moody and Martha Collier Moody.
Visitation was held March 19 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
