Gary Rebon Tate
Gary Rebon Tate, 59, passed away Jan. 26 at his residence.
He was born in Red Bay to Rebon O. Tate and Inez Garrett Tate and worked at Sunshine Mills.
Graveside services were Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, with Bro. David Kelley officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay.
Survivors are one son, Jacob Tate; one brother, Jimmy Tate and wife Sue, Red Bay; two sisters, Sylvia Carpenter, Vina, and Barbara Jackson, Brilliant; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kathy Cain, Red Bay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Anthony Tate; and a brother, Bobby Tate.
Pallbearers were James Carpenter, Jay Tate, Rick Poore, Ken Elrod, Greg Lindley and Bradley Duckworth. Honorary pallbearer was Phillip Jackson.
Visitation was Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
