Roy Allen

Roy Allen age 75, Russellville, passed away July 28.

 

He was born March 24, 1941 in Franklin County, Alabama. He was a member of Isbell Chapel Baptist Church. He was retired from T.V.A. after 32 years of service. Roy was an Army veteran and served in Viet Nam in 1966 and 1967.

 

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lester Allen and mother, Mary Estell  Allen; brother Tommy Allen; sister Martha Franks; brothers-in law, Richard Franks and Jerry Hovater.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marveline Allen; sons, Rodney Allen and wife, Susan, Chris Allen and wife, Cristy, Michael Allen; grandchildren, Liz Allen, Brooke Smith and husband, Brad, Paxton Allen, Caleign Allen, Carter Allen, Parker Allen and Cameron Allen; sister Dot Scott.

 

Pallbearers will be Alan Hicks, Chase Hicks, Nick Hicks, Roger Allen, Ronnie Allen and Jonathan Motes.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Ridgeway, Dr. McAnalley, Gentiva Home Health, Hospice of North Alabama, especially Kasie Brown and Kathy Dingess, Michaell Williams, Anna Green, neighbor, Bryce McNatt.

 

Funeral service will be July 31, 3 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Truman Kimbrough and Gene Franks officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service.  Masonic rites and military honors will be at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.
