Bernice G. Johnson

Bernice G. Johnson, 84, passed away June 24 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County to John Wesley and Lola Rutherford Garrison.  She attended the Church of God and was a seamstress working in garment manufacturing.

 

Services will be June 27, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay with Bro. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina.

 

Survivors include three daughters-Linda Pounders of Red Bay, Connie Edge and husband Earl, and Margie Burroughs and husband David all of Guntown, MS; one son-Daniel Johnson of Golden; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a special niece-Betty Johnson; one sister-Laura J. Brewer and husband Alvie of Vina; two brothers-Harold Garrison and wife Kay and Wendell C. Garrison and wife Opelene all of Red Bay.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and five brothers.

 

Pallbearers will be George Wright, Waylon Burroughs, Nicky Garrison and Dennis Scott.

 

Visitation was June 26, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
