Cobras earn second place

The 12U Cobras brought home second place from the Spring Classic this weekend in Huntsville.

The Russellville Cobras 12U soccer team achieved second place in the Spring Classic Tournament April 22-24 in Huntsville.

“I’m proud of these guys,” said Coach Juan Garcia. “They are doing really good.”

Garcia said, unfortunately, this team’s time together is coming to an end, as the Cobras no longer have a place to practice as RCS prepares its own soccer program. State tournaments in June will be the end of the road for the Cobras.

“We’ve won a lot of championships, and I know they are going to win more championships,” Garcia said. “They play hard and with heart.”
