Waterloo 40, Vina 34

It’s been a struggle this year for the Vina Lady Red Devils. The loss of the team’s two top scorers and ball handlers has made for a frustrating season at times. The Lady Red Devils were able to find some success against Waterloo albeit in a loss.

“Our girls really hustled and showed a lot of pride in this game,” said Vina coach Paul Humphres. “We were down by ten twice and fought back each time.”

Waterloo led 17-11 at halftime and 23-15 at the end of the third quarter but Vina put 19 points on the board in the fourth quarter as they made a run at Waterloo.

Hannah Baggett led the Red Devils with nine points. Others scoring for Vina were Montanna Howard (6), Mary Morgan Clingan (9), Emily Renfrow (4), and Erica Cantrell (4).
