Watermelon artwork on display

The above artwork was created by RHS art student Pedro Lucas. Artwork by the students is currently on display at the Russellville City Hall in honor of the Watermelon Festival this weekend.

Students who are part of the Russellville High School art department will have their watermelon-themed artwork on display at this year’s Franklin County Watermelon Festival.

Art teacher Melissa Grissom said the students’ artwork is currently on display at Russellville City Hall and all are welcomed to view the students’ hard work celebrating the festival and Franklin County, which is the Watermelon Capital of Alabama.
