Gladys Orrick Epperson, 99, of Russellville, passed away May 31, 2014.  She was born in Vina, on Dec. 14, 1914.  She was a charter member of North Highlands Church of Christ.

Visitation for Mrs. Epperson will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.  Officiating will be Keith Barnett and Chad Epperson.  Burial will be in KP Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie M. Epperson; parents, William A. and Belva Reid Orrick; brothers, Raymond, Jim and Tom Orrick; sister, Jewel Duckett Gaddis; and grandsons, Freddie M. Epperson and Michael Epperson.

She is survived by her four children: Tommy Epperson and wife, Patricia, Jody Epperson and Carolyn, Barbara Strickland and husband, Glen, and Don Epperson and wife, Linda; six grandchildren: Ann McDermitt and husband, David, Julie Clemmons and husband, Russ, Greg Epperson and wife, Nicole, Donna Barksdale and husband, Alan, Cynthia Fennel and husband, Floyd, Chad Epperson and wife, Jeannie; 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker, and later worked at White’s 5 & 10, Franklin Drugs, Felton Drug Store, Tot ‘n Teen Children’s Shop and was a Foster Grandparent.  She volunteered with Community Action and was a poll worker.  She enjoyed needlework and baking pound cakes for others.

Greg Epperson, Will McDermitt, Floyd Fennel, Will Barksdale, Russ Clemmons, and Drake Clemmons will serve as pallbearers.

The family appreciates Dr. Kevin Kelly for his many years of dedicated care of Mrs. Epperson.  Special thanks to Judy Taylor, Debbie Bowling, and Terrace Manor Nursing Home for their loving care.
