Jackson finishes strong at tournament

Red Bay sophomore Isaiah Jackson played in the Alabama State High School Golf Championship at RJT Prattville Capitol Hill- Senator Course last Monday and Tuesday, May 12-13.

Jackson shot a 73 on day one and improved on day two to a two under 70 for a sixth place finish.

He had the third lowest score for Class 1A-2A and was just one shot from second place.

Out of 180 high school golfers across five classifications, only 15 golfers finished the tournament below par. Isaiah was one of them with a -1 (143) over the two-day tournament.

Calum Masters of Providence Christian won the tournament with a 71 on day one and an impressive 65 on day two for a total of 136.
