Church to present special Maundy Thursday play

For the past two years, Russellville First United Methodist Church has presented a special Maundy Thursday service during holy week that depicted Jesus’ Last Supper and the events that transpired that evening in the Upper Room (pictured).

This year, church members will present a short play called “Beneath the Upper Room,” which tells the story of Jesus’ Last Supper from the viewpoint of the women who served him. FUMC pastor Bo Lloyd said this will be a great event that will lend a different perspective to this significant event, especially for those who have attended the Maundy Service for the past two years.

The service will take place April 17, at 7 p.m. All in the community are invited to attend!
