Southern Bliss re-opens under new ownership

The ladies of Franklin County will be glad to know that one of the area’s popular boutiques has re-opened with a new location and new ownership.
Southern Bliss Boutique, formally located on U.S. 43, has re-opened in downtown Russellville across from the old Heilig-Meyers building near CB&S Bank’s main branch.
Former owners Kelly Massey and Leann Little announced in October they would be closing the store in order to focus on other responsibilities and their families.
In December, Southern Bliss announced that Little’s sister-in-law, Amy McReynolds, and McReynolds’ niece, Savannah Latham, would be re-opening the store in a new location in downtown Russellville.
“This was something we had thought about for a long time after Kelly and Leann decided to close the store,” McReynolds said.
“They had a lot on their plates and could not run the store anymore, but the products they offered were great and something the women in this area really enjoyed.
“I enjoy fashion and I think the women in this area shouldn’t have to drive all the way to the Shoals to find cute, trendy outfits and jewelry, so after much thought and consideration, my niece, Savannah, and I decided we would buy the store and re-open it in a convenient, downtown location.”
Latham said she was excited about what the store has to offer.
“Fashion is something I really love, so it’s great that I get to combine something I’m passionate about with running a business,” she said.
Southern Bliss Boutique’s store manager, Katie Hester, said there has already been a great response to the new location.
“Being in a management position at a local business is something I’ve always wanted to do since my grandfather, Don Garrard, was a respected member of the business community here for many years,” Hester said.
“This has already been a great experience and I’m looking forward to Southern Bliss’ future here in Russellville.”
Southern Bliss Boutique offers clothing, jewelry, and candles and will soon offer other gift items.
The Russellville store is located at 119 Jackson Ave. South. Store hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 11-6; Wednesday: 11-5; and Saturday: 11-4.
