In a game that was tight throughout the evening, the Phil Campbell Bobcats closed strong with a 26-point fourth quarter to defeat the Winston County Yellow Jackets 68-49 Thursday night.
The Bobcats led 16-11 at the end of the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets cut the lead to 26-23 at the half. By the end of the third quarter, Winston County had made it a two-point game trailing the Bobcats 42-40.
Skylar Tackett led Phil Campbell with 19 points. Colton Vickery added 14 points. Other Bobcats scoring were Bailey Motes (8), Nathan Duncan (7), Tommy Reed (6), Ryan Saint (5), Austin McAfee (4), Noah Williams (3), and Mikey Stone (2).
