Editor’s Note: Getting to Know Your Neighbor is a regular feature spotlighting residents in Franklin County and how they look at certain things.

Q: What is the best thing about your job?
A: Being able to be with my kids everyday.
Q: If you weren’t in your current profession, what would be your ideal job and why?
A: I’ve always wanted to work in a funeral home. I don’t really know exactly why, but I have always felt real comfortable there. I used to job shadow at Spry Funeral Home and really enjoyed being there.
Q: If you could change places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
A: Maybe Queen Elizabeth. It would be fun to see how someone in royalty and from somewhere else lives and how their life is compared to my own.
Q: If you could sit down to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
A: I would probably want to sit down with Jesus. I have a few questions about the world these days.
Q: What’s the best present you’ve ever received?
A: My best present probably would be my husband. I believe God sent him to me for a reason and that he was a gift especially for me.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: My favorite childhood memory would be a big fishing trip I had with my dad. We packed a lunch and stayed out on the boat all day. I really don’t believe we caught anything much but I had the best time just bonding with him.
Q: What do you think of as your greatest accomplishment in life?
A: Both my beautiful daughters: Chloe, age 4, and Caylee, age 1.
Q: If you only had one meal left, what would it be?
A: Crab legs and boiled shrimp.
Q: If you won a million dollars, what would be your first purchase?
A: A large house for my whole family to live in. I love being around them everyday.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: I’ve always wanted to go to Germany. I took German in high school and have always wanted to visit, just for a fun vacation.
Q: If you were the President of the United States, what would be the first law that you would enact?
A: To make it mandatory for everyone on government assistance to take a drug test.
Q: If you were in local government, what things would you change in the area?
A: I would do something about the roads in this area. They are awful. So many of them have been patched but that never lasts long and doesn’t fix the problem.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Franklin County?
A: The Watermelon Festival! We have so much talent in Franklin County. I love to listen to the music, get some great food and just see what creative things people have come up with.
Q: What is something interesting about you that most people don’t know?
A: I really want to be on the reality show “Big Brother” and plan on signing up for the 2014 season.
