Edith Gable Francis, 93, of Red Bay, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at the Red Bay Hospital.  She was born in Franklin County, Ala.. and was a homemaker.  She was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Jerry George officiating.  Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.  
She is survived by two children, James Francis and wife, Bernell, of Red Bay and Judy Young and husband, Jim, of Dennis; eight grandchildren, Dean Francis, Bruce Francis and wife, Donna, Jeff Young and wife, Susan, Jeneen Brooks and husband, Clayton, Tamera Bowling, Jamie Wigginton and wife, Jennifer, Jeremy Wigginton and David Francis; twelve great-grandchildren, Karen Taff and husband, Bo, Kayla Terry and husband, Ross, Paige Brooks, Peyton Brooks, Brett Young, Justin Francis, Miranda Francis, Josh Francis, Marissa Francis, Caleb Blackburn, Nathan Bowling and Madison Bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boaz Francis; her parents, James Wallace and Clara Adeline Self Gable; daughter, Wanda Wigginton; son, Jimmy Francis; and great-granddaughter, Laken Young.
Pallbearers were Clayton Brooks, Jeff Young, Bo Taff, Ross Terry, Dean Francis and Jamie Wigginton.  Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Wigginton, Bruce Francis and Bro. Jerry George.
