James C. Rudd, 82, of Red Bay, passed away Sunday, May 1, 211 at Southern Manor Assisted Living in Russellville, Ala. He was a native of Texas and had been an apartment complex manager. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Phillip Vinson and Bro. Jeremy Murray officiating. Burial was in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, Ala.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Kuykendall and husband, Joey, of Red Bay, Ala. and Sherry Barnett and husband, Jack, of Ohio; one sister, Barbara Brown and husband, Stan, of Red Bay, Ala.; one brother, Bill Yarbrough and wife, Camille, of Michigan; nine grandchildren, Brian Murray and Luree Freeman, both of Russellville, Stacy Grissom, of Phil Campbell, Jason Jeffreys, of Leighton, Ala., Jason Kuykendall, of Mississippi, Joey Kuykendall, Jr., of Tennessee and Kim Barnes, Jennifer Barnett and Rick Barnett, all of Ohio; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and twin boys due in May.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge Rudd, his mother, Mildred Yarber and his father, Jess Yarber.
Pallbearers were Cory Murray, Brian Murray, Glen Vinson, Brandon Gann, Darren Grissom and Jason Kuykendall. Honorary pallbearer was Ray Kuykendall.
