Tornado relief information that you need to know
• Federal Aid Programs for the State of Alabama Disaster Recovery. Assistance for affected individuals and families can be requested by phoning 1-800-621-3362, TTY 1-800-462-7585 for individuals with speech or hearing disabilities or registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
• Disaster Recovery Center located at Russellville Park and Recreation Center (on Ash Avenue behind old Russellville Wal-Mart). The center is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Franklin County, Alabama Tornado Relief Fund is being administered through the Y.E.S. Foundation (www.franklinyes.org) which is a non-profit 501C3 organization. Therefore all donations will be tax deductible. 100 percent of these funds will be used in Franklin County. Donations can be made at any of the following banks and at any of their branches: Bank Independent, CB&S, Community Spirit, First Metro Bank, and Valley State Bank.
• Franklin County Landfill hours during disaster cleanup will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.
• Debris removal from the right of way will be for a period of 30 days beginning on May 10, 2011.
Individuals are required to move all debris to the right of way as contractors are not permitted to remove debris from private property.
