Long-Lewis adding Suzuki sales to dealership

Franklin County auto shoppers will soon have one more option when looking for a new vehicle.

Long-Lewis Russellville will add a line of new Suzuki products to their dealership the first week of May, finance/sales manager Bill Brownell said.

Northwest Alabama has been without a Suzuki dealership since Shoals Suzuki closed more than two years ago.

Todd Ouellette, owner of the Long-Lewis Ford Lincoln dealership in Muscle Shoals, has opened Long-Lewis Suzuki on Woodward Avenue at the autoplex across from the main dealership.

When Shoals Suzuki closed, customers were left without service options in the area.

“I think that left a bad taste in some people?s mouths, but that was a

dealership issue and had nothing to do with Suzuki,” Brownell said.

“Suzuki is a very popular brand in this area and this will give customers access again.”

Sales will be available at the Russellville dealership with sales and service available in Muscle Shoals.

Long-Lewis Russellville general manager Ed Blackburn said the new line of Suzuki products would allow customers more options than ever before.

“Suzuki has almost completely re-designed their line of products and they are very nice and affordable,” Blackburn said.

”They now have a fully equipped truck, called the Equator, and a line of cars and SUVs that almost anyone can choose from.”

Brownell said he believes the quality of the new Suzukis, coupled with the pricing, will make them attractive to shoppers.

“I am excited that we will be offering this line for the people of Franklin County,” Brownell said.

“It will give them an opportunity to have a great product at great prices, all right here in Russellville.”
