Jerry Ray “Copenhagen” Adkins, 57, of Tuscumbia, Ala. passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at Shoals Hospital.

Mr. Adkins was a native of Franklin County but had lived in Tuscumbia for the past five years.  He was a member of Charity Chapel Church and a retired truck driver for Vision Industries/Jet Corp.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Devile Keil officiating.  Burial was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville. 

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Adkins; step-sons, Aaron Jerrell and Wendell Greenleaf and wife, Leigh; grandchildren, Hannah and Shane Greenleaf; uncle, Paul Adkins; aunt, Dot Franks; nephews, Tommy Steward and Bobby Steward.

He was preceded in death by son, J.R. Adkins;  parents, Raymond and Pauline Adkins; grandparents, Bert and Nellie Franks, Clarence Adkins and Bertha Whitman; brother, Charles Steward; uncle, Jerry Franks.

Pallbearers were Paul West, Jerry Woods, Bernardo Castillo, Daryl Gholston, Herman Castillo and Jack Streetman.

Honorary bearers were Pete Colborn and Judson Clark
