Red Devils fall to Hubbard

COURTLAND — Fifth ranked R.A. Hubbard scored early five touchdowns in the opening quarter on its way to a 42-6 victory against Vina.

The Chiefs added another score in the second quarter.

Vina’s only score came on a 6-yard run by Ethan Pharr in the fourth quarter.

Nick Schmittou was 6-of-9 passing for 53 yards and had 122 yards in kick returns. He also led the team with nine tackles while Joseph Barksdale added seven tackles.

Pharr led the Red Devils with 44 rushing yards while Clay Pierce was the leading receiver with four catches for 44 yards

Vina (2-7, 2-5) travels to Hubbertville next Friday.
