Local author publishes first book

By Staff

Russellville native Edith Gaston never thought she would be able to publish her idea for a fictional based book.
She would soon find out there was a way to get it done. Gaston has just recently published her first book, “Small Town Secrets.” Gaston said the idea came to her in a conversation with a friend.
The aspiring author currently works at Webb Oil, but hopes to take her career in writing to the next level if the book does well.
What Richards finds out is not exactly what she expected as the older woman takes her back into the deep south of the 1960's.
As the plot thickens so does her curiosity. She not only learns about the family, she also learns about several others who just happen to be intertwined together.
She finds out there is more than one way to love a person and even more ways to kill them.
Emily realizes that there is a fine line between love and hate and that these people seem to love to hate each other.
Gaston uses the pen name, E. C. Crawford. She hopes to give back to the community in the future if her series does well.
The fictional book can be found at www.xlibris.com under “Small Town Secrets” by E C Crawford.
