Lions playing for perfect regular season

By Staff
The University of North Alabama football team will try to wrap up its regular season by becoming only the fifth squad in school history to go 11-0.
Standing in the Lions way is West Alabama, which is led by former UNA coach Bobby Wallace. Wallace guided the 1993 and 1995 teams to 11-0 starts.
Another former Lion prowls the sidelines for West Alabama. Harlon Hill trophy winning quarterback Will Hall is the Tigers' defensive coordinator.
Once the nostalgia wears off for Wallace and Hall, the Tigers (6-4) will be in for a long night.
UNA is averaging 42.3 points per game while allowing only 14 points.
Harrison Beck leads the Lions' offense. He has completed 218-of-364 passes for 2,964 yards, 25 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
His favorite targets are T.J. Porter (53 receptions, 603 yards and six touchdowns), Mico McSwain (40 receptions, 772 yards and six touchdowns) and Preston Parker (40 receptions, 625 yards and five touchdowns).
Tim Hicks leads the rushing attack with 541 yards and four touchdowns while Marcus Simms has 246 yards and 10 touchdowns.
West Alabama's J.D. Douglas leads the Tigers with 88.5 total tackles. The Tigers are allowing 25.6 points per game.
Deon Williams has passed for 2,017 yards and 15 touchdowns for West Alabama while Roosevelt Ross has rushed for 635 yards and three touchdowns. The Tigers are scoring 31.9 points per game.
Mike Johnson leads UNA defenders with 80 total tackles and 10.5 tackles for a loss. Montrell Craft has 48 total tackles and 13.5 tackles for a loss while Quinton Andrews has 49 tackles and four interceptions.
