Commission looking at several road projects in county

The Franklin County Commission will meet again next week to decide what road projects will move ahead.
During the commission's regular meeting Friday, a couple of options were discussed concerning ways to spend federal aid project money.
Commissioner Stratt Byars said he wanted to use the money to repair a section of Franklin 48 through the Tharptown community. Commissioner Howard Hutcheson wants to use the funds to make repairs on Franklin 58.
The commissioners asked county engineer David Palmer to develop a plan with costs for how much both projects would be.
The federal funding could be used for more than one project. The commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23 to decide how to move forward.
